As an all-lines insurance professional, Mike Boscaino stands apart from many industry peers because of his extensive experience in the unique marine insurance marketplace which is also capable of insuring non-marine risks. Mike has always believed that an importer/exporter should utilize a marine policy as the linchpin of an insurance program. This approach is crucial to obtaining the best of both worlds: reduced premium cost and enhanced coverage terms and limits.
Mike’s longstanding relationships with many of the senior marine insurance underwriters enables him to know, design, and negotiate the most favorable policies for each clientÕs transit and inventory needs. Whether catastrophic perils or esoteric areas of coverage such as political risk, Mike knows which underwriter can best insure each client. Mike has fostered unique relationships over the past thirty years, with underwriters, and clients in a wide variety of industries ranging from luxury goods to base commodity traders.
Mike is a graduate of Iona College and earned an MBA from Pace University in International Finance. A 25-year resident of Wilton, CT, Mike is an avid tennis and paddle tennis player. Mike is also an accomplished golfer who, just prior to joining Foa & Son, scored a hole-in-one at the SUNY Maritime (Fort Schuyler) Golf Outing and maintains that a heavenly sign was given to him to join Foa & Son.
