Summer Hampton brings over 20 years of expertise in the international art markets to her role as Vice President of Fine Art and Luxury Goods at Foa & Son. With a decade of experience managing a chain of art galleries across the United States and expanding the collections of renowned luxury hoteliers, Summer possesses a deep understanding of the unique needs involved in protecting luxury assets.
In addition to her arts expertise, Summer has an insurance background through her time at US Assure where she honed her skills in asset protection and risk management.
Her robust background in both the operational and personal facets of the art world equips her to expertly guide clients through the intricacies of insuring personal and commercial art collections, art fairs, studios, museums, and art in commercial settings. Summer’s firsthand experience managing art in luxury hotels has given her valuable insights into the unique risks associated with art, gems, and luxury pieces, enhancing her ability to help clients secure comprehensive coverage and minimize exposure.
Summer also has a rich history in luxury retail for the hospitality industry, having worked her way through graduate school in London at Dolce & Gabbana. Her passion for the arts is reflected in her community involvement; she currently serves on several nonprofit boards in Florida, including at Flagler College in Saint Augustine, a campus renowned for its historic art treasures.
Summer holds a Master’s in International Art Business from Sotheby’s Institute of Art, London, and a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University and the University of North Florida. Her extensive education, diverse professional experiences, and career in the arts make her an invaluable asset to our clients for clients in need of protecting their fine art and luxury goods.
